Solipsisme is the first book by Julien Levy. Made in Tokyo. Published by Bookstorming / Archibooks / Marc Sautereau Editors.
Solipsisme was, from the start, dedicated to its medium – the book. No exhibition of the prints or texts were ever planned.
Made in complete isolation, the book contains photographs made on roll of films deliberately and manually damaged for several months. Therefore when the films are inserted in the camera, they are weakened as such to feel the city, its pollution, its heat, its humidity.
The texts are not a commentary but an intergral part of this work.
The book is also brought to you along with a soundtrack composed by Julien Levy.
